9780983671930 cov.inddSaturday, December 1 was the official release day of The Widow’s Redeemer, a Regency romance by Philippa Jane Keyworth. The book has been well received by reviewers. In a pre-publication review, InD’Tale Magazine applauded it as a story “filled with all kinds of delectable angst, and drama, while still delighting one with its heartfelt charm!”

On Monday, December 3, it was featured on the FIRST Wildcard Tours. The book’s heroine, Letty Burton, was a favorite among the FIRST book bloggers.

“I fell in love with Letty, the main character, she was just someone you wanted to help and save. I wanted someone else to see her for what she was and love her….” — Our Family’s Adventures

“You will fall in love with the character of Letty May Burton.”  — Maureen’s Musings

“This is the best book I’ve read this year. With subtle undertones of Pride & Prejudice among a fabulous and imaginative retelling of the story of Ruth and Boaz from Scripture, this book totally rocks! …I think this book has it all; Engaging characters, witty and powerful dialogue, along with exceptional writing skill. If you love the story of Ruth, and the Regency Era, then this is the book for you! — Stuff and Nonsense

“Letty Burton is a wonderful heroine.  You just fall in love with her and wish all your friends were like her.” — Vic’s Media Room

“Just know that you will need those tissues as you read this book. You will definitely need more than one. The ending is quite satisfying. I think it would be a good thing if Ms Keyworth continued using these characters in more books. I’ve grown quite fond of them.” — Sunny Island Breezes

“Well written book about love, redemption and commitment.” — The Ladybug Chronicles

On December 5, a few more book bloggers weighed in:

“an interesting book that reminded me of those regencies that were actually written during the regency time period…. Letty is a dear character who is strong and independent.” — Clean Romance Reviews

“If you like Traditional Regencies and stories based on the Bible this might be a good one for you.”  — Historical Tapestry
